FLOUR FLAVOURS FROM THE HILLS

Collaborating with Valley Culture, Greenr cafe incorporates the flavours of the hills to create fusion cuisine. Like people in rural India, who believe in locally sourced, traditionally processed and sustainable products, Valley Culture is all about reshaping global palates with local produce.

After a journey across the Himalayas, exploring communities that have been extracting, pounding, and making healthy food by hand for generations, Valley Culture wanted to promote the Himalayan gharat atta (flour).

Thanks to Valley Culture, gharat ka atta has found its way from the hills to the streets of Gurugram. Gharats, or traditional water mills, are cost effective sources of grinding/milling of different grains, require less maintenance and are eco-friendly.

Gharat

Gharat ka atta is a leading source of vegetable protein and fib and is proven to be very beneficial by researchers. As it is produced by stone grinding of whole kernels, it contains high minerals and vitamins which helps in regulation of the blood glucose levels in diabetic patients and lowers risks of heart diseases owing to its comparatively low-fat content.

The flour obtained from gharat is far better in quality, finer in texture, richer in flavour and full of nutrition — everything Valley Culture stands for. And Greenr café blended right in with their philosophy.

AND YES, THERE IS MORE

As you dig into the sumptuous Old Delhi Bhurji at Greenr Café, which also uses Valley Culture’s gharat atta from Himachal, you will notice how soft, fine and nutritious the wrap is.
